#10 HAL for the Emerson COMX-P4080

This is a basic eCos port for the COMX-P4080 daughter board from Emerson. The board uses the Freescale QorIQ P4080 processor (eight e500mc core). The latest port includes support for the processor, NOR FLASH, serial port and Giga bit Ethernets (DTSEC). The board has the following features:

- CPU: Freescale P4080 running at 1.5 GHz
- 8xe500mc cores
- Supports up to 4GB DDR3 SO-DIMM, two channels
- 128MB NOR flash
- 1GB NAND flash
- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet interface
- Configureable Serdes lines
- etc...

The COMX-P4080 requires the COMX-CAR-P1 development carrier board to power the board and access the interfaces such as UART and Ethernet.

II. HAL:

The HAL located here shall support all Freescale QorIQ (P2, P3 and P4) processors based on the e500mc core, (P2040, P2041, P3040, P3041, P4040 and P4080). For QorIQ P1 (P1010 etc.) processor based on e500 core, the QUICC3 HAL used for the MPC85xx processor shall be used instead. The QorIQ 64bits processors (P5 and T2) based on e5500 and e6500 cores are not currently supported.

The eCos HAL for the COMX-P4080 limits the amount of memory to 2GB. NAND flash support is not included in this port. The Frame Manager uses the Ethernet port in Independent Mode.
